I had my second appointment with Alternaleaf a few Fridays ago and was told to expect it through the middle of the following week . Nothing came through and after giving it some grace began to contact them.
I did accidentally contact the Australia branch - they got back to me at-least.
Every time I call UK an agent isn’t avalible and emails say they will respond within 48 hours and it’s now been 72.
I haven’t had my script in 3 weeks and my first script only lasted a 2 weeks. I’m very frustrated now and considering transferring/ cancelling since this was suppose to be a less stressful alternative to BM to rely on for my health.
Has anyone else currently or previously had issues? Thanks
Getting into music production is pretty scary for me, so far my biggest hurdle was choosing a DAW. I tried FL Studio which my friends suggested and my favorite artists (Porter Robinson & Jane Remover) use FL, but the workflow never really worked well for me. I then tried Ableton which felt a lot more in tune toward my workflow, and it felt right up my alley. It looked very basic but somehow still very pretty with the Immaterial theme, but it felt very... rigid. Like, lacking customization and stuff?
So I tried to look for something similar to Ableton but just better. I've tried other DAWs; Cubase, Studio One, Reaper (which I already have a discounted license of and use for voice over,) and every one of them I had issues with. Reaper suffered from white title/menu bar syndrome on Windows, as well as the GUIs being locked at 30hz and overall feeling pretty newbie unfriendly (No stock instruments, some plugins ig, not the most intuitive to use). Studio One had the same issue with the white titlebar and I didn't really like what they were doing with Studio One Pro+, otherwise it seemed solid. Cubase honestly scared me and I didn't feel comfortable using it (Plus the Pro version is super expensive).
Then I came across Bitwig.
It was exactly what I was looking for; It felt like Ableton, but better. Sure, it lacked some things like Piano Scale highlighting, proper theming (shoutout Berikai for the theme editor), and I'm sure there will be a lot of other things I'll learn to hate once I start making music, but everything else was amazing. It's buttery smooth, and it looks great ([albeit with a theme](https://github.com/Berikai/awesome-bitwig-themes), the default theme looks really bad to me to be honest.) Plus, it runs natively on Linux which will be great for me whenever I switch over to Linux. And on top of all of that, Bitwig has instruments and plugins. With Reaper and Cubase I was completely lost because all I had were some plugins I got but no instruments. FL and Ableton do have a good amount of instruments and plugins, and so does Bitwig!

So, yeah. I bought it. And I got really lucky with it too, I think I got it for one of the lowest prices available. Using both the Winter sale & Thomann's discounted pricing, I was able to snag a Studio EDU license for $172, which I was able to verify my education status of using last semester's college transcript. I'm really glad I was able to purchase it, especially since today the Winter Sale ended so the price for the EDU version went back up to $231 and the normal price on Thomann went back up to $325, so I got really lucky that I chose to buy it yesterday. I made a diagram to show the discounts for Bitwig that were in play here in-case it might help anyone.

Anyway, that's all I have. There's nowhere else really where I can explain why I'm so excited and why I think I got a good deal. Super excited to start making music.
I keep tripping over something and paying for things on a card machine. At first I was tripping and paying for things on a card machine for food, which is innocent. The guy holding the card machine its like he always knew that I was going to trip over something. I mean it's annoying but the food is nice even though I didn't mean to buy food. I always check the ground more thoroughly and I still trip over something and I wear a wrist band in my hand which has my card details electronically, and there is a random person with a card machine just waiting for me to trip.
I like wearing a wristband with an electronic card system within it, it's so simple. Instead of having to get a card out, you just wear a light wrist band and you tap things to pay for things. Then when I tripped again and I accidentally paid for something, it wasn't for food but for drugs. I didn't want the drugs but they were mine now. Then when I tripped again on a seemingly flat clean ground, I had accidentally paid for a gun. The guy holding the card machine, he is always standing at the right time.
So now I had accidentally bought drugs and a gun from tripping. I swear to you though that the floor was clean and free from any trippable hazards. I didn't know what to do with this gun and drugs that I had bought. I threw them away. It was expensive now and I was really wasting money on things that I didn't need. Then I tripped again and my wrist band tapped another card machine and I had bought more drugs and guns, the gut holding the card machine he is just there.
I tried telling him that he needs to give back my money, on all the things I had bought by tripping. He just looked at me with no care and then one time I has tripped again and my wrist band touched the card machine. I looked at the man with the card machine and i asked him what I had bought? He just looked at me and smiled. Then he was shot up multiple times and fell to the ground. Then a guy with a gun thanks me for paying him to kill the guy holding the card machine.
I had accidentally bought the services of a hit man. Then when I tripped again and bought some food thank god, I was thinking that one day I am going to accidentally buy the services of an escort. The man holding the card machine, was the guy who had been shot multiple times. He wants to rest but I keep tripping and he is the card machine holder.

I see the mimi app being mentioned, but I just tried it and it doesn’t seem to allow users an option to select the starting volume of each frequency during the test. As someone with recent noise-induced hearing loss, I’m am wary of blasting sound through my headphones.
Does anyone have any other recommendations for hearing test apps where I can control how loud or soft the initial sounds are for each frequency?
